I just broke the cotter pin that retains the firing pin in the bolt of my Norinco CQ-A. It was not defective, I was an idiot and broke it with a pair of pliers .

Can I replace it with a cotter pin from Home depot or Lordco? if yes does anyone know what size to buy?

If no, who sells them in the Lower Mainland?

I posted here as opposed to the gunsmithing forum as there is more exposure here. If this is not acceptable, mods please move.

"Don't tase me BRO!". ;)

Dlask would probably have them but if you want one today check with Reliable. They have a little box of parts in the back for AR parts.

How did you break it though? The pins slide in and out pretty easy.

The ends of the pin had bent a little so it wouldn't slide through the other end of the bolt. I was trying to re-shape them when I broke it.
