Can the safety selector on an AR be swapped to the other side without any mods? I shoot left-handed and don't want an ambi safety, I just want it on the other side of the receiver. Thoughts?

As a south paw myself, I have simply installed "Full Auto" levers and I rotate them all the way out of the way. I hate having the tip of the safety lever sitting on my trigger finger. In the C.F.T.O. for the FNC1A1, there is a mod for left handed shooters to fix the interference problem. As this part is not controlled, nor does it cause the rifle to operate differently, you are not breaking any applicable laws by installing one.

You can not simply reverse the lever as the hole in the lower reciever that contains the detent and the spring would have to be drilled in both the reviever and the pistol grip.
Just easier to put in the fa lever.
