I recently bought a Millet DMS-1 for my Norc AR and am looking at mounts. The Burris P.E.P.R. has been recommended to me and looks good, but I wanted to see more opinions and options before buying one.

So, what are people using and what do they recommend?

Thanks,
Mark

Vortex Cantilever mount is also really good... but with a Millet DMS, I personally found that paying almost the same amount for the mount as the scope was hard to justify. If I had purchased a more expensive scope, like the Vortex 1-4x then, I'd probably have no problems paying more for the mount.

The Burris PEPR's a really solid mount for a really good price.

The good Vortex cantilever mounts are made by ADM

ADM are a rock solid option, almost as good as LaRue that are basically impossible to get

ADM stuff is awesome stuff. I have the strait-up LOW mount for my Viper PST on my Tikka T3 Tac (bolt gun) and have seen ZERO POI shift when taking it on and off.

Definitely more expensive than the Burris mount, but you will get a mount you will never need to upgrade. You will upgrade the scope before you get rid of the ring ;)

Also consider how much offset you need. If you're shooting positions such as the Canadian style neeling position, it can be advantageous to have the scope mounted further forward than some mounts will allow. Many mounts only allow 2" offset. For a lot of scopes, 3" offset works better.

Any reviews on the Leupold Mark 2 IMR? Same pricepoint as the PEPR. Also, and idea if any of the previously mentioned mounts with clear the rear site on a AR-180b? I have a RRA HiRise Cantelver mount and it clears with room to spare but I'm looking for somthing a little sleeker and lighter.
