AR Selling Prices

Hi
I am looking for guidance on figuring out pricess fro couple of quality AR's

1. DD M4v1. About 200 rounds. Original price was close to $1900+tax

2. SW M&P15T. About 300 rounds. This is not the cheap one which has been selling for $699. Got this in 2013 or so for $1200 USD+tax. It the HBAR version with troy industries Modular Rail Foreend.

Your help would be appreciated.

I think $1700 would be a good price for that DD since it’s used.

"High end" ARs are never going to sell for what you buy 'em for. Most people don't want a used one if they're buying one of those at all. Go lower on the DD. 60% of buying price should be a realistic starting point.

Thats sounds a lot more reasonable for a starting point asking price.

Franken ar-15s are also a harder sell unless it lines up exactly with what someone is looking for. Brand name factory rifle like kac, noveske, etc seem to hold their value better but still hard to get back what you paid unless you got it used in the first place

Also a good point.

The problem with selling any AR is unless it's a stock condition rifle with the least amount of trinkets and flavour of the month trend attachments, it's not what people want to buy generally.
People generally like to buy bare bones rifles, dump a thousand dollars of plastic tactical junk into them to make it look like what they want. Then leave them on the EE for 6 months when the novelty wears off lol
Remember those lame ass skull and shark shaped lower receivers on the front of the mag well? Yeah stuff like that lol

High end ARs don't hold their value. I don't know why. Just like sig 226 handguns, 1500 brand new and you can't even give them away on the EE at anything higher than 800

A Sport 2 and 3000 rounds of ammo is a far better spend than a Daniel Defense that sits in a safe. Apart from precision rifles, to me there's almost no practical reason to spend more than a thousand bucks before tax on a single firearm. The return on investment after that mark is marginal at best.

I'm excluding collecting in this of course.

I need an information, maybe here is a good place to ask, 7 years ago i bought a Norinco CQ-a 10.5 inch barrel, did put it in my safe and never used it BNIB unfired, i dont seem to see them at dealers, could someone tell me what is the selling value.

Close to 1900 new and asking 1700? seems steep. For that price should be excellent condition or LNIB at least. Given the market for black NR and all the AR15 people are getting rid of I would start around 1500.

Lol, hes asking 2k for it in the EE. I don’t think it’ll sell.
