MAKAROV BSM-12

All three are similar in appearance AR-style vertical magazine-fed 12GA semi shotguns.
All three are able to fire from 2" 3/4 to 3" shells.
All three are made in Turkey.

Which one is your favourite?
Which one do you hate the most?
Cons and pros would be a great input.

+1 I am also wondering about the Hatsan Escort raider and the typhoonf12 and all the others available.
What is the best mag fed semi in canada ?
What’s the Turkish garbage we should avoid?

Personally I like the idea of the Final Defense FD12 so much I bought one on SFRC's 18% off sale. Its similar to all the others but in a small foot print due to the nature of it's bullpup design. This renders it not lefty friendly but makes it alot nicer truck/tractor/quad gun.

As long as it performs, I would say it is the best SA-magfed design assuming you are not a lefty.

I pick mine up this afternoon, cant wait to give it a whirl!

I picked up a typhoon f12. Have run a few hundred rounds through it so far. One 3 gun competition. I love it!! Just cycle a bunch of hunting loads first to break it in, and it’ll eat cheap target loads all day long.

I have derya, works great! Put about 100 heavy loads through and now cycles everything. And i think its one of the cooler looking ar style shoties

I agree I like this one too. The bull pup design feels good and I like the way it shoots as well.
If you go to your local range you will likely see each one of these and I ask if I can try and of course offer them to try any of my stuff. I haven’t met anyone yet that wouldn’t let Me try theirs. It takes time but I find this is the best way to try before you buy

Not on your list but I've got a Match 1919 that runs like a champ. Cycles everything , grabbed about 10 grouse this year with it.

I had an Axor. IF you search my username you will see all my posts about this shotgun. I tried hard to make it cycle perfect like I had hoped.. Never happened, so I sold it! I think for the price & results it was garbage....

I've had a Derya MK10, which was a bit of a pain and really heavy, now I have a MK12 with OD upper and I love the thing. It's not light, 10lbs without a magazine (red dot, fore grip, BUIS, single point sling and a light attached) however I hunted with it a fair bit this year feel comfortable out to 50 yards with slugs, I've also shot a good amount of trap and 5 stand with it and it is a claybuster for sure. I will say I tried some Turkey loads with the full choke that came with the gun and I did not have a tight pattern by any stretch. So I will be looking for a good Turkey choke, a rifled choke for deer and perhaps the barrel extension I've just heard about.

My gun has about 400 rounds through it and has been really reliable with normal trap and hunting loads. Even reduced power slugs work well. I really wish some one made a rifled barrel for this thing, it would be a hell of a slug gun. The gun is a vast improvement over the MK10, looks bad ass, had a decent trigger and is very reliable with the proper ammunition. It's also really easy to clean.

They all suck lol.... better off buying a tube fed... or a brixa/valtro I've yet to witness a Turkish mag fed successfully complete an entire 3 gun tournament without having a fuk up.

Should've documented such a rare sight :p the last medicine hat match I was at, typhoons were jamming left right and center! It was totally film worthy lol my buddy has a 1919 match that is about as reliable as a mastercraft table saw! He wants to shoot 3 gun, but the 1919 holds him back from attending cus it's so unreliable.

I've heard of the Typhoon F12 not cycling properly if they aren't broken in right. They recommend 3" slugs to get things moving properly. At first mine wouldn't cycle target loads very well but after a few dozen big ass slugs it shoots anything.

Buddy above me said the same thing but I need to collect posts to allow access to EE Level 2.
