AR Ten Round Magazine

I shall explain.
There is such thing as an AR15 pistol made by RRA (there are other AR pistols but this is the important one).
Since pistols are allowed to have magazines that hold ten rounds, RRA had purpose built 10 round magazines made specifically marked for their gun LAR-15.
Since the law doesn't restrict what gun the mags fit in, but only what the magazine was designed for, it is perfectly legal to use these 10 round magazines in any gun which they fit.
This, sir (or madam), is how this is possible.

P.s. It turns out that between you and the other guy at the range, he may not be the shmuck.

Actually I am aware of that specific loop hole in the law, just wasn't aware that there are such things called AR pistols with a 10 round magazine.
Thanks for the info, and if you have no idea what my reasons are for calling that person a schmuck, it'd be wiser not to comment on it. Between me and you and the other guy who followed your trail, I think there are 2 schmucks, and it ain't me.

If you don't wanna talk about it, maybe you shouldn't have brought it up in the first place?
And if you already knew about the loophole, it seems odd you would ask in the first place since you obviously must know of the 10 round mags and that there must be a pistol for the mag to fit in for it to be a pistol mag.........where else did you think the AR pistol mag came from?
So ya, I'm obviously the shmuck in this situation
