AR Trigger improvement

I used it on my CQ311 - it worked as advertised. I actually never had an issue with it shooting M193 (milsurp) after, but as acrashb says, that's likely an exception.

I think I cut the one leg too short and I had trouble with one of the pins walking out partway after that. :)

Great stuff! Thanks for the link. Just did this to my Norc M4, and it took the trigger from freakishly horrible to somewhat passable. The 3 stages of creep is still there, but at least now the break doesn't require a hydraulic assist. :)

ar trigger mod

one other thing that i do is to install a set screw (1/4x20) up throu the bolt hole that holds the hand grip to the lower half. this i use to limit trigger travel. on some lowers this hole has to be drilled thru on mine i only had to run the tap in and add the set screw and ajust. and i added a set screw up from the bottem it the casting that holds the front site as well. but a had to remove the font site and run a tap down the hole as it was not theaded all of the way down. then after reistalling the front post and rezeroing install the set screw up from the bottem and there is no more play in the front post.:)

How much it has reduced the pull in your rifle?
I am waiting for the set myself before I jump and buy Gisselle trigger system.

Thanks

I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but it seemed to drop it a few pounds. It's not comparable to the Gisselle or other 'match/target' triggers but for me it's a good compromise (and cheap!).

JP spring kit and some light polishing followed up with some light slide glide worked wonders for mine.

I'm not looking for a target trigger and as I said this will be used for ODPL, IDPA 3 gun shoots so I think the JP kit is just the thing I need so I ordered one yesterday.
I will also polish as suggested by acrashb and stop at that, test and see if it's where I want it to be.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
