AR with sight post plus ACOG

Hey,
Have seen several ARs with the standard front sight post and also with a low mount sight or acog.

I am just wondering how well the scope works with the front sight post it the way.

Any comments from users with a similar setup would be great.

EX:On wiki under acog they show 2 soldiers with M4 with acog and front sight post.
I wont link to it.

Works fine for my AR. You don't even notice the sight post in the way unless you're focusing hard on it.

The front sight is not "in the way" if your scope has magnification (you will not see it). If your scope has no magnification then the sight will appear in the reticle and block your view.......unless you have it co-witnessed.

This is what I run, w/ my ACOG...

When its down, you don't see it.

Because the base is so close to the optic you won't see it. I ran an ACOG and it wasn't an issue.

cool, thanks guys. i suspected it wasn't an issue as the military guys do it, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Not only is it not an issue I use it to help with cant when shooting service rifle...

I also have an ARMS 41 in front of my ACOG, and I can't see it when it's either folded or extended, but the sight picture is noticeably brighter with the front sight folded.
