Never heard. Let us know.
The WSM case is .550" diameter. I'm not super comfortable running that at 65,000 psi with the diameter of the barrel inside the extension. The thread is the same size as a Winchester Model 70. Smaller than Rem 700 or a Savage 110. There have been cases of people/companies running too large of a case diameter at high pressure in the AR15 platform and bulging the barrel at the chamber.
so just don't run 65k psi, like you do with large diameter cartridges on the AR15 frame. 50 Beo, 458 SOCOM, 450 bushmaster are all running 38k or less PSI.
For those concerns a .300saum would probably be better than wsm. It's a touch narrower and weaker. Plus a better profile for smooth chambering.
The missing link is a good and available bolt for the SM calibers.
I run rem 30ar in my bushmaster acr (ar15 size components) it is a .492 rim at 55,000psi, no issues
These guys are well respected, "only" in 300 Win Mag, but their rifles seem to hold up well.
Have you heard of .475Bishop?
5600ft.lbs of muzzle energy in an AR10!
Almost 2000ft.lbs more than .45raptor!
Wow, that's interesting!
Anybody know who make .475 barrel for AR10?
Where to get brass and dies?
