I know this topic has been covered before, but not too specifically.
I field stripped my newly received AR last week and realized that cleaning this rifle take longer than expected without proper tools.
The bolt had baked on carbon that was hard to remove with my brass punch.
I also had an impossible time trying to clean out the bolt carrier ends where the bolt sits. There is still carbon buildup as I did not have a proper scraping tool to reach the depths of the carrier.
I was going to place an order on brownells today, but I figured I would ask here to see what people recommend.
I currently have an Otis cleaning kit with flexible rods. This covers barrel cleaning.
What I want basically is brass scrapers, chamber brushes etc.
What else am I missing?
