AR15.com Rockcastle Pro/Am 3 gun championships

Just getting packed now....always feel like I am going to forget something

Really, there should be a sticky at the top of the page for things to remember for a big three gun match

3 guns, ammo and mags for each, gear belt, and $US for what you forget.
All the big name vendors should be there so you should be good.

If you haven't been to rockcastle before, bring bug spray and SPF1000000.
I wouldn't count on there being any for sale at the local store if you end up needing it.
500 competitors and others, will likely clear out the shelves.
Maybe stop at a walmart on the way to grab water & gatorade.
Again, may not be much locally.
I'm not risking it.

My gear is clean, sighted in, and ready to rock.
So unfortunately no excuses.

Oh, and if you plan on having a few drinks, buy before you get there.
Its a dry county if I'm not mistaken, so no liquor stores close by.
Just what they sell at the bar at Rockcastle.

Just remember your humility....

Rockcastle products/am

Well long day on the range, temp was about 96 degree today.2 guys in are squad got DQ for having steel core ammo.Team Hoser kept everyone entertained today. They put great meal on tonight.Have 3 stages left tomorrow.

Banger did well, placing in top 25 I believe (24???).
Everyone else had a decent showing but cant remember placing

I didn't have a very good showing.
Work got in the way a little. Focus wasn't there.
But, I can say that I was top Candian in the pro division!!!!!

LOL

I'll try and have the vid of 6/8 stages up in a few days.
didn't get 2 stages as on one the camera was getting in my way as I was trying to shoot out of a car, and the other I just forgot to turn it on.

Was fun.

Well Matt came 32nd and i was 50th lots of room for improvement. They had about 287 shoooters in AM part of it.Have to work on my off had shooting at long distance flash targets. We did not fair to well at the prize table, still had a good time ,wish we had 2000 acre ranges. It was dam hot both days we shot. Can èt wait till FNH.

Kudos to Banger for the great finish.

I also struggled and added about 70-80 seconds to my time because of penalties. Gives me a good idea of things to practice before FNH though.

Good company made the time fly by pretty quick.

Here are 6/8 stages.
Couldn't hit the side of a barn this weekend.
This is what 141st/240something looks like.
:(

The stages are in order.
Stage 2, the camera was interfering with me sticking my fat head out the window of a car to shoot plates with the shotgun, so it came off.
Stage 6, there was a small delay before I got to shoot and totally forgot to turn it on.

Was fun and got to meet awesome people.

Oh, and first stage, sometimes you have to make room when there isn't any (see inserted pic in vid). I OK'd it with the RO before I started.
His response after I told him my plan..."its not my wall"
It saved me a good 3 steps and an awkward lean around the outside of the barricade.
Sliding into the wall as I was stopping didn't save me any time though.

Thanks for sharing the vids pauls.

Another great road trip by Team Hoser.
Fantastic sponsors and great match organization. It was nice to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

Some of the stages looked very simple on the surface but man they were a challenge. I was able to keep my focus for the whole match for a change. First match in a long time that i was satisfied with my shooting. Still lots of room to improve.

Only 3 weeks till FNH.

Here is one of a few mags I emptied at one of the side events
