AR15 Dust Cover Detent and Spring missing

Hey all,

I lost the detent and spring from the dust cover on my AR15 this weekend. I am guessing that most people just replace the dust cover as it is a low-cost item. I have had this one cerakoted though so I am curious if there is a way to fix it. It is from an NEA. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can order a dust cover spring from Brownells.
Did you also lose the rod that holds the cover to the upper?
I assume that it was you I was talking to at lunch concerning the ceracoating on your rifle.

Normally the rod is held in place on one end by a C clip and it is prevented from leaving the front end by the handguard.
