I don't know guys... The US is being groomed (and has been for a long time) for some kind of civil war or collapse. And given the amount of diversity that's been pumped into the place, I can't imagine it's going to be pretty when it does pop off...

That's why I moved to the most un-diverse place I could find...

^^ Well, that's why you CCW everywhere/everyday there..there are allot of Gangs, organized criminal activity compared to other States. {major drug hub from Mexico} tons illegal activity in & around the border/crossings..so ya, makes sense..it Aint Kansas!

Also, there are like 6 major cities in Texas, 34 with populations over 100,000. The Texas Triangle alone has over 21 million people. My neighbourhood is one of the safest in all of North America…and crazy to believe…one if the most diverse as well. Funny how you set standards for behaviour, don’t “self-segregate” and everyone gets along. You get looked at funny if you don’t hold the door open and let women go first. Everyone also laughs at themselves and each other, joking about stereotypes of their country/culture of origin.

Yes, the sketch border and downtown cores are what you’d expect, so you simply and easily avoid them.

My entire family loves it here and the longer we are away from the insanity that was Vancouver and Canada, the more it’s like waking up from a bad dream. Seemed so normal at the time, then you wake up and realize none of it made any sense.

If that blind sided you, you must be very young. There was a time when, if you wanted to run a tab at the bar, they would take your credit card and put it behind the bar on top of your tab. When you were finished drinking they would run the card and give it back to you. More and more restaurants here in the southwest are getting the portable CC machines.

...I must be old. There was a time the bar didn't even need the credit card. Your "tab" could be a rolling amount owed, whether it's paid off at the end of the night, or later on pay day...just open credit. I'm sure some bars got burned, but most didn't.

Question to op? Did your guns have to have importation markings etched into the receivers or are they exempt being that it's your personal property? Thanks

I never finished what I was going to say my mind wandered off somewhere else and I sound retarded. my point being is there's not alot of differences in how everyday life goes on but it's the little things that surprise me. the biggest differences I see between the 2 countries is the way people think. Americans (at least the ones iv been involved with over the last year) have a incredibly strong sense of "this is my property now frig off" and competition for literally anything workplace, goods, services whatever. canada is the opposite the majority are completely willing to obey and accept the way things are as long as the hockey game stays on tv. also many will actively go out of their way to sabotage anything that dares compete with the many monopolies certain companies have over many industries. the canadian firearms industry and gun community is Uber guilty of that

us is not perfect but no place is all I know is I feel more at home here now than I ever did my entire life in canada and it makes me sad saying that because I do miss my former home. just nowhere near enough to go back

Great question. They said that they were engraving them…but so far, I can’t find them. I have not taken them apart to see if they are hidden, as of now, if they did, they are truly unobtrusive. My AR specifically said that it was NOT engraved, the rest of my guns are the ones I’m not sure about. I will update if I find them.
