AR15 lowers accepting Glock magazines

i was just thinking about one of those. easy t ofind ammo and mags. mags would be ten rounds and when i go to the states i could still use 30 round mags.

i don't think oly arms sells to canadian directly. i think you'd have to import it yourself.

i am just trying to find a roadtest of the K9GL to see if they hold up before i buy.

I am trying to find the info I originally posted about this. Olympic arms does not have any distributors in Canada, I did find a US exporting firm that deals with Oly and they do all the legwork and charge a very reasonable fee. But they said that the odds are 50/50 that the US gives an export permit for it, it all depends on which dude you get that evaluates the application. more to follow...

I talked to Murray about this a couple of weeks ago. MD is in theory a Canadian Oly distributor ... but OLY demands he ship through a very expensive Export broker, so only a major league order would be worth the export fees.

We've actually been looking at these the past few weeks. I wasn't sure that there would be enough interest so we shelved our plans, but if there are in fact a number of you who would be interested, then we could bring in a shipment.

My understanding is that they are only made in Glock 9mm and Glock 40S&W (they use the magazine from your Glock pistol). Two variations are offered... a CAR version with 11.5" barrel and 5.5" flash suppressor permanently affixed or a straight 16" barrel version. All have fixed carry handle

An order placed now would take about 10 to 12 weeks for final arrival in Canada.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in one... and which one.

I would like to have the barrel length at 11.5", so I would go with which ever is the easiest (remove flash hider or cut down barrel). I would think that removing the FH would be more work than cutting and crowning & treading, if that's the case a 16" version would be best, that way I can just cut it down to whatever length I want. I would want the 9mm version. Can you find out if the upper receiver is a std AR-15 or has it been altered, it would be nice to make it flattoped.

thanks
