Hello all:
Just picked up an unfinished AR15 lower for my 2nd build project (my first was a semi 1919A4 which had been tested fired and registered). All I have to do to this “80% receiver” is to engrave the s/n, register it and then machine out the pocket for the trigger group.
My problem is that I was told last week from an RCMP officer with INEST, that the trigger pocket on the full auto version was a bit bigger than the semi version and to be careful not to machine the wrong size pocket. Is this true? All the plans I’ve downloaded seam to have the same size pocket for the trigger group. I was also under the impression that the only difference between the semi auto AR15 receiver and full auto M16 was an extra hole for the auto sear on the full auto versions. Can some one clarify the differences between the two receivers? Photos would be awesome.
Thanks Mark
