So what's the main reason for the shortage?
Trudeau talking about a ban or because of Biden down south?
Is it getting worse or better?

Let's stop calling them AR-15 magazines. They are STANAG magazines, that fit an assortment of guns. Calling them AR15 mags gives the liberals another reason to ban them now that AR15's are classified as prohibited and can no longer be used, therefore, the magazines no longer need to be imported/sold.

You think that calling them something else will stop the government from taking them??

AR mags along with just about any other mag on the planet is in short supply right now. This trend will only get worse as liar Bill Blair continues his tyrannical tirade.

STANAG refers to the standard dimensions for the mag well, not the magazine. And the STANAG standard was never adopted.

Not only that, the dimensions and tolerances were never even suggested. Stanag, as far as magazines go, means nothing. Stanag magazines are not a thing, it's a name people like to use, but there is literally no definition to support it.

It's a good thing Cross Mags are made in Canada.

The STANAG for magazines remains a "draft" however if you can find a single NATO armed force that has in the last 21 maybe even 31 years adopted a rifle incapable of using the STANAG magazine I will eat my hat (It may be a chocolate one).

The STANAG vs "AR15" magazine distinction is an important one. PMAGs for example will not function in all STANAG magazine rifles, an example being how the EMAG (Export Mag) is required in rifles like the SA80.

Going back to the OPs question: There are plenty of STANAG magazines for sale in Canada, I suggest purchasing Cross mags to support a Canadian manufacturer

I think you missed the point. STANAG isn't real, it's an idea and nothing more. Calling a magazine a STANAG magazine is wishful thinking. The idea has been loosely adopted, but there is nothing defining it nor is there any literature confirming it's adoption.

It takes a STANAG mag with an adapter ;-) thus isn't Incapable

Out of solidarity I will eat some chocolate, oh the hard life I live

With an adapter :p

Then it doesn’t function with its original magazines or couldn’t function without the adapter.

You can have chocolate, but only the cheap stuff with coconut in it :p
