AR15 Magazines

Have you loaded them? And they hold more than 5?
Yes I have loaded several at random and 5 rounds is the magic number. The rest were tested with a dowel marked at the 5 round spot to push the magazine down. Everything in the pic is 5 round max.

Thanks for posting the pics SigWig

Forgot to mention that the unpinned mags push almost to the bottom so it's actually easy to tell who is what.

An estimate of what these things might be worth? Some have price tags on them from days of yesteryear at around the $20.00 mark, so $5.00 each? (if this needs to be asked in a different forum please let me know)

Maybe they didn't get it right?
That's always a possibility, our laws are rather convoluted and even police and other authorities don't necessarily know the fine points.

I can tell you that settling the estate took just over 3 years, and unfortunately Canadian Law is not always what you think it is.
I would agree with that. It took me many months to deal with my mom's estate and it all went to me and I have no siblings.

I don't know what to tell you and I'm no lawyer, but the bulk of the estate has been dispersed and settled almost a year ago. Exhibits who store the firearms and associated goods released them to me just over one month ago. firearms picked up first then the ammo and other parts. Maybe they didn't get it right?

So the firearms and related items from the estate were being held by the police, and they have turned them over to you a month ago.
From what you have posted, you are in possession of prohibited firearms and prohibited devices. And have announced on an open forum that you are in possession of these things.

^First of all there is an amnesty and no guns should be turned in for $0

Second placing a rivet will make the mags legal.

Wasting police time and getting nothing for it is not cool
I agree with you, the mags now have rivets added to them and they all turned out well except for 4 of them which can now hold 6 rounds.
The slider mechanisms seem to change with different manufacturers and it's impossible to guess at the precise rivet location.

I have and RPAL and refuse to give up any of the firearms unless our government buys them from us.

If it took a year or less to settle your mom's estate consider yourself lucky. Most people don't realize that even with a will involved it doesn't mean anything and the Canadian courts will change the outcome as they see fit if a third party is involved. Don't watch Judge Judy and think that Canadian law works in the same way, things are much different here north of the boarder.

6 is no good. Maybe you could swap followers around till you get magic. 5.7-5.9 is best so you can seat a mag loaded bolt closed
