Ar15 mags for 3 gun?

Are there any AA 50 Beowulf mags in stock in Canada? Thanks.

Nope... They show up on EE, but are pricey. For good reason... They are the BEST solution for competition. Like others on the thread, I started with 5/30s, then went to LAR mags (too short), then started using LAR with S&J extensions (still only 10 rounds), then moved to PCV Gen 1s (more capacity, still too short, moderately unreliable due to body/feedlip flex), finally spent the money and now run metal 5/10 AA Beowulf mags. They have the full USGI length and shape, and are reliable when loaded to capacity.

I would have saved myself a ton of money and time just springing for the Beowulf mags in the first place...

Good luck

^^Thanks for the tips on the pouches fellas

As far as the good metal beo mags goes,
My AA 5/10 Beo mags are good, but the 5/7 round ones are pinned wrong and only hold 13

I use pcv's as my main magazine with lar's as backup and pmags as my backup backups. The pcv's are not perfect, sometime the feedlips flex and volcano a couple of rounds out. They still are enough of an advantage to deal with that.

I like the Alberta tactical supply 10 round pistol mags with a 20 round body.We where just talking about if rifles and shotguns should be fully loaded in Victoria. Not sure if anyone talked further on it...I was sick and unable to make it.

The ATRS mags look like my best bet right now. I am not willing to shell out 100$ per AA beo mags so they aren't really an option for me. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and input.

Maybe I wasn't clear, they are reliable enough. I have yet to have a pcv give me issues during a stage but it has happened when I dropped a mag on the ground. This year I have used my pcv gen 2 mags at all the Wras shoots, a 2 day carbine course, the 2 day peace river shoot and not had any issues during use.

Who are you asking here?

He was referring to the comment about the PVC mags and the guy still using them because they offer an advantage even though they can malfunction. I agree with pauls. I have four of PVC mags and while the poster said they never failed in a match they have for me. Would never use them at a match again.

I was given a gen 1 PCV mag and it has it's place in my gear. If I start the stage loaded (and the stage warrants the extra rounds) I will take my time inserting the PCV mag, making sure everything is good. Once the timer goes though and I shoot that mag dry, I'm on to mags that I am confident loading and using under the clock.

Exactly! Every issue I had with these is on the reload. They don't like being bounced around. Get nosedives. Since I have enough AAs I don't use them but if I didn't I would do same as you. Starter mag only.

Said it before, I'll say it again... Don't waste your money on the PCV mags. Save a few extra bucks and get the metal AA mags off the hop. You'll save yourself a little money and a lot of frustration in the long run!!!!!!!

Ive seen an AA mag cause issues as well.
nothing is perfect, but that's why you thoroughly test your equipment before a match, not during!
