So, I figured that AR15's must be feeling a little unloved and rejected right now, being blamed for most of the world's problems. To redress the balance I decided to go to my local AR15 adoption centre (Tenda in my case) and offer a deserving gun a home. This is my first AR and it's only a Norc but still, it's a start.

I purchased a stripped lower when Justin Trudeau & his merry band of socialist formed government. Now I think I should start adding the bits & pieces.

I'm in fear the goods I have on order will be lost in another ar15 stampede south of the line.

I've been thinking about the acquisition for a while and decided to go for it now because I was worried about shortages. According to the folks at Tenda, Norcs are getting harder to find and WW are also in short supply in Canada. They had plenty of Daniel Defence though.

The gun's the cheap acquisition. The ammo...that's a different story!

I hear ya! I've got a Tavor as well which I bought with a crate of Chinese surplus 5.56 - God that stuff stinks! My eyes water when I shoot it from all the ammonia fumes. Why does it do that? I'm going to have to find some other cheap ammo.

Hope you weren't irritable and got PTSD from it!
Other than Norc, Wolf , and Tula et al cheap steel cased stuff, there isn't much availability and choice here.
I mainly use AE 55gr and PMC and they aren't that cheap.

Welcome to the addiction. Glad I'm not the only one whose still buying AR's while everyone else is in fear.

Man, you're not kidding about the AR addiction. They're about as addicitve as 1911s and 870s. I've got 4 ARs, and I find myself still wanting more, despite their modularity to change furniture like clothes on a barbie doll.

This thread doesn't help:

Yup, I can already feel it. I can't remember any previous purchase where I was so anxious for the transfer to come through.

A few days after the Orlando shooting happened I bought a Colt Canada SA20, and I bought parts for my piston build I'm doing slowly.

Worst part is I had a DDM4V7 last year that I sold and kinda regret selling but I had to :(
