Should do another Poll. See how long people actually keep their Rifle.
Seems like there is a common practice of revolving door Rifles. Keep a Rifle for 4-6 months...get rid of it and get a new configuration.

I'm guilty of it too :)

Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a problem with the Poll numbers?

If you add up the "listed %" numbers you get a total of 161.19%

How is that possible? Shoudn't the total vote percentages add up to 100%?

Obviously the figures on this poll are flawed and the display is meaningless.

The display says there are 461 total votes (so far) and it says there are 71 votes for Norinco. That should represent 15.40% of the total votes yet the Poll says Norinco has 24.83%... obviously wrong.

This is like watching Liberal Polling results... useless.

Because you are allowed to vote for more then 1 item, the results will never add up to 100%

That doesn't make sense either... if there are x votes (doesn't matter how many people voted or how many times) then each category represents a number and that number represents a percentage of the numbers totalled.

Percentage can't total more than 100%.

The math works this way.

There are currently 297 voters which have voted on multiple choices.

Each percentage in each category represents the number of votes from the 297 voters.

e.g 21 voters picked DMPS/Remington or approx 7% of the 297 or 36 voters picked PWS/LMT or approx 12% of the 297
Each result has to be taken separately, the numbers are not supposed to cumulative.

It took me a while to figure it out as well.

So the numbers don't actually mean what they appear to... instead of representing the percentage of people who own a specific category (which is what it appears to mean), it in fact means something else that can't be confirmed or even seen because it uses numbers and math not apparent.

Sounds like the way Liberals and media use Poll numbers to make the polls say whatever they want. That's simply not a valid way to present the information... at least not in my opinion... and certainly not without being clearly explained along with the data shown. Very misleading to say the least.

You should send a strongly worded letter to vBulletin about their dangerously misleading forum poll software.
