so what do ya guys recommend? ive been diggin around at all out sponsor sites and am totally undecided. im sticking with the ABC'S (armalite, bushmaster, colt, stag)

looking for a 20" target or even a SS match barrel, fixed full stock, flat top upper for about 1500.

i prefer a 20" SS match barrel though. its all about accuarcy with this one. a 2 stage triger would be a nice complment as well. this thing shall be scoped and ready to shoot 300 meters. do ye have any suggestions? been saving for this thing for a while.

oh yea forget aboot me spellin eh? gibsons finest is doing its job.:D

Frankly I would drop Bushmaster from your list.....not impressed with thier quality that I have seen lately.

what I would suggest is one of these three rifles....

http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=15TN&Category=8e8e5de6-5022-483e-812b-822e58014822

Your limiting factor is going to be who has what in stock, or conversly who can get what in how quick..... Now the three rifles above are supplied by Wolverine, Questar and of course Arms East, I think the nod would goto the last two in the "get it here quick" catagory, but then wolverine might have the above rifle in stock ready to ship right now.

I would suggest you sit down and start dialing and see what they say and get some hard numbers to when delivery can be made.

all three retailers have excellent warranty service, and all three are very reputable and are some of the top dealers in the country. anyway you go with the above three will be a good choice.

I would order exactly what you want, even if it is going to take two months.... that will give you time to buy a better quality scope anyway like a mk4, nightforce or a S&B if you really want to go crazy.

If you have the money I would also suggest paying up front, cause we all know that money talks.... and has a habit of walking away if your trying to keep it in the bank to pay for upcoming layaway stuff :)

just contact walter at armseastinfo@gmail.com and I am sure he can order it in for you, probably easier then any of the other ones.

he can even cut down the 24" bbl to 20" if you want and recrown it for you. or he may be able to order it direct with a 20" bbl

have you given thought to what your going to use for scope mounts and such, you should start looking. I would suggest the larue 1.50 SPR or the 1.93 SPR Mount from personal experience. Also check out socom supply above for thier american defence scope mounts which are as good as larue and easily avaiilable in canada

what are you thinking of spending for scope, cash wise ?? and remember your going to need a harris bipod.... some magazines and a hardcase :D

dunno about the scope, will stop in p&d and tell em what ive got they usually know the best one for the price im willing to pay. "m39a1" is great at his job!
everything else is covered.

ok on P&D for the scope but I would definatly get one of the suggested scope mounts, either the larue or the AD one, I know P&D probably only has either an armalite one piece mount or they also have extra high burris tactical rings in stock.... both of which IMHO kind of suck for the ar15 application.

I am not trying to knock anyones ar's there are lots of fine Ar manufactors out there however I just recently (8 months ago) purchased a Bushmaster and I must say it is one of the finest Ars I have seen built... Its not Colt Canada/ Diemaco but it really is great quality! Id put it over any Armalight.

Just my own view and opinion.

its "mostly" a matter of what brand you like and the little things that you want in your A/R

I've shot most brands out there, either via the store or buddies but I ended up buying a Colt, LMT and a Noveske upper.

Not sure exactly why, just because.

My own opinion anyways.
