AR15 random question

Is the AR10 bolt carrier assembly the same as the AR15 bolt carrier assembly
except for the caliber difference? With a custom barrel could a caliber such as 20BR be possible?

they are not the same. You can look at them at Armalites website...unless you mean basic design and function - then they are similar.
The AR-10 Carrier and bolt is very large in size compared to the 15 carrier

I was in wanstalls today and they had an AR10 in there, the thing was a heavy beast! That bolt is LOUD too.

Can a 15 bolt be modified to take a cartridge with a larger head (308 size)?

Not really, but sort of...

They have 7.62x39 bolts - and 6.8SPC bolts

There seems to be a question on the actualy bolt life of those.
