AR15 rear sight help.

I am having a problem with the rear sight on one of my AR15s and I am hope you guys and gals are able to offer any advice. I have been attempting to establish the zero on a AR15 with C7/M16A1 style sights. I followed the US Army guide to establishing zero on a 25m range and basically walked the groupings onto the centre of the target. However, to do so meant having to dail the rear sight all the way to the left,and now there is simple no where further to go. When I go out to 100 meters, I am totally off target, generally high and to the right. Groups are tight at 25m and simply don't exist
at 100m. Any ideas or suggestions?


The rifle: 20inch Colt H-bar barrel 1:7
Ammo: Winchester 55gr FMJ.

Is your front sight canted to one side by chance?

If it groups way to the right you rifle might have its barrel overtorqued which would turn the front sight to the left moving your POI to the right when you are sighting in. Or your front sight post might be canted.
