ar15 sight removal and free float quad rail

wondering what it would take to put a free floating quad rail on an ar15, id like the finish product to look like the NEA one on the SFRC web site.
so delta ring removal, front sight removal ect..
i have the 14.5" barrel, like to go with a 9-12 free float quad rail with flip up front sight instead of the factor front, also its a much cleaner look having no gap on the upper rail. couldnt find anything on the search

First get the Brownells FSB revoval tool then you can do this.

that seems like a good budget idea, should any free float quad rails slip over a shaved/modded front? or do certain brands have more inside clearance?
or need a 2 piece?

I did the fsb chop on the gun no problem, saves buying the tool and sometimes the pins can be a b#tch to get out, plenty of clearance for most rails.

They should slip right over if you've done the shaving properly. Or you can buy a low profile gas block.

thanks guys, simple enough, ill just ask before I buy to make sure it will clear a shaved/chopped fsb. Im sure i could shave it down as small as most low pro gas blocks
