Ar15 Triggers?

Im cheaping out and getting the RRA one. (I know i should not use the word cheap here, cause I am sure this is going to be the right trigg for me)

So, I just ordered it and hope to have it soon. So thank y'all for the advise.

(Also got a new muzzle break, PWS FSC556..... its going to be christmas time for me soon)
 
Just to let you guys know I got my rra trig today and installed it. Have not had a chance to test it live yet. But on the dry run it feels amazing. I don't understand why these things are on there by default. It in inexpensive and a night and day difference to the stock trig. I will send another MSG when I had a chance to do a live test.

Also, I am fairly inexperienced when it comes to doing any sort of smith work on the ar..... And the install took only about 20 min or so..... Really easy to do..... Hard to screw up.

Safety, as it is a service rifle first. Safety off I can throw a cocked factory AR at the ground till it falls apart and it will not drop the hammer. A light match trigger in a real world environment? Not near me.

Fair enough.

I did test it by having the safety off and hitting the but of my stock into the concrete floor and didnt get it to go off...... mind you I didnt hit it too too hard.

FINALLY


We had some nice weather so I was able to test out that RRA trigg.....

Personal verdict..... NICE.


It is not the kinda trig you want on a bench gun. But on a shorty, or something to "Run and gun" with I found it to be perfect.


Also, very fast acting. I tried some rapid fire and was able to dumb the mag in a very short period. (New muzzle break helped keep things on paper)


I know this is not a good review or anything. I just thought I would let people know that they should not hesitate at all about upgrading thier stock trigger for an RRA National Match grade one. Its inexpensive..... and the benifit is massive.

RRA with the JP trigger springs are a great trigger package but will get you no were near a bolt action trigger job. Same goes for the Geissele 2 stage trigger. So if I was going down this long road of turning my rifle into a SPR then I would take a trip to Brown website & check out there AR15 trigger section & this 1 in piticular;

Geiselle has two triggers one SR and a match trigger.
The match, if properly adjusted, is as good as any match trigger you will find on a bolt gun...

Yeah, I dont think I would be happy with my AR though if it had a Trigger like my R700. Unless I was using it bench only.

Brownells will sell them if you fill out the paper work or Contact MArk @ Questar or Jess @ Dave's to help you import it.
 
I got the Geisselle trigger from Arms East. Awesome unit, crisp & consistent; perhaps the best unit I have tried on the AR’s. Definitely a "must do" upgrade on the AR platform. In addition it is available from a “nuts” sponsor in Canada.
