AR15 Tritium sights

I have a meprolight front sight on mine, as I found that the XS sights were too fat for me (especially the dot). I certainly don't care for fat sights as it makes precise aim a bit more difficult, but if you get a chance look at different sights and make a decision from that.

I chose the dot for my 14.5" carbine, why? because for Tac Rifle and any fighting rifle class I take it is big and quick for inside 100m, as a civvy I did not identify a need for a precision front sight should the carbine ever be needed in extremis, I'd be running backwards and gunning. As always YMMV.

Did you get the rear aperature aswell? What brand did you get? I wish there was a setup for a AR like on the Sig CQB <----- the cat`s ass of standard sights.

Nope, did not get a rear, I am currently using a LMT sight, for the times I don't use my Aimpoint I'll only be using a sloppy sight picture with irons anyway...remember, fighting rifle, not target rifle. If precision shooting is the goal a C7 front post is nice as is the tapered XS sight with trits.

If your going to go with a tritium front post -- go the XS Big Dot.

If you want match performance dont use a tritium fromt post...

Running irons dynamicly you want a large easily identifiable front sight that you can place on the tgt with greater ease than a small or less visible object.

what about this for the VZ58. looks like it might fit
