This does illustrate the pitfalls of buying AR parts if you're not too savvy about them....Back when I was very green about AR's, I purchased a part that the seller advertised as "complete", yet it arrived with a couple of (expensive) major components missing. The reply to my query as to where the missing parts were, was "
everybody knows that this part does not
normally come with the widget and giggling pin". Sorry,
everybody did not include me at that time.

When buying an AR part, ALWAYS ask the seller if all the parts that you would THINK should be included/parts shown in the photo ARE included in the sale.
This is not limited to AR's, btw...I purchased a hunting rifle that clearly showed a mounted scope base in the photo. When the rifle arrived...no scope base. Ok, it looked like it was a crappy $7 Weaver base, but just the same, if it's in the photo and the seller does not specifically state "base not included", then it should be part of the deal.
Toes, babies, cats and dogs in photo's are an acceptable exception, however.
