AR15 Vertical Grip Recommendations

That's not what I said man. And, I posted that before I saw someone in this thread had one. I am sorry if I offended you and am sorry if I was a bit harsh with my critique but, this VFG is poorly designed imo. And, I dont think any forward thinking, intelligent operator or any hard user for that matter, would disagree with my critique. This VFG is designed for bling and there are much better functional options imo.

I agree with you assessment of the design. It does seem to hold up well, though. Having said that, I do have others that I switch out to and from.

That's good to know. What is your favorite functional design if you dont mind me asking? I have tried the Magpul VFG and Fab Defense folding VFG so far and like both but, am always willing to try something new.

This is the one I use.

It's designed for multiple applications, in addition to being used for stabilization as a vertical fore grip, I've also used it to stabilize against fixed surfaces, store a couple of spare batteries, used for CQC and an impromptu bottle opener. It's also light, very strong and provides excellent grip and stability.

I've been looking at that one. Another that I have is the BCM Gunfighter (short).

Whichever one photographs best and looks cool. As a Canadian recreational shooter, OBVIOUSLY, performance is not a factor. And if it was a factor you'd know better than to use one in the first place.

I've been considering replacing my polymer magpul with an aluminum troy. Who else makes aluminum grips besides troy and archangel? Thoughts on aluminum vs polymer?

Aluminum VG is:
- More expensive
- Heavier
- No required as it doesn't need to hold zero
- Cold in winter, hot in summer

You do make a good point. Well, four points actually. I have three or four polymer grips already on various rifles, and I wanted to see how I liked the aluminum.

I'm currently trying to find a BCM stubby to replace my RVG. Also, the Fortis shift is unreal, extremely ergonomic grip.
