AR15's in x39 appear to have bolt issues, as seen here:

Perhaps one of these bolts may be the solution?

The LMT x39 bolt was was well regarded in the past, and now seems to available again as of Jan 2015:

I'm not sure what material the L7R3B 7.62 X 39 Enhanced Bolt Assembly is made from.

I haven't heard much about this Liberty Gun Works x39 bolt, but it may have potential:

Liberty Gun Works Inc. brings you our Improved 7.62x39mm AR-15 bolt assembly. Machined out of aircraft grade stainless steel, then dense micro-chrome plated (the same plating technologies used on satellite systems).

Bolt comes fully assembled with ejector, improved extractor, black extractor insert, Viton MIL-Spec fluoroelastomer o-ring, and USGI gas rings installed.

This bolt is designed to function in 7.62x39 ar-15/m-4/m-16 type rifles, and will function with standard carriers, cam pins, and standard firing pins.
This bolt has the strength to fire all types of 7.62x39mm ammo (steel included) without bolt lug breakage.
Test bolts continually surpass 10,000 rounds of steel cased Russian ammo.
Made in USA!

The Windham Weaponry x39 bolt is made from 158 Carpenter steel. Hopefully we'll hear how these hold up with high x39 round counts in the near future.

If LMT is making their 7.62X39 bolt again, you can't go wrong with that. Mine has about 2000k rounds steel case crap with no issues. Super easy to clean and has dual spring extractor

Having said that, I had a DPMS bolt go over 1500 rounds no problems . I swapped it for the LMT only because I had the LMT !

Only think is the LMT is not set up as a 7.62X39 bolt with shortened tail to ensure ignition on ammo such as the Wolf that has the deep seated primers

I wouldn't shorten the tail of the LMT bolt , but rather machine the shoulder down ( about .010 to .015" ) of the firing pin to ensure longer protrusion . I would rather modify a $5 firing pin than a $200 bolt

Lots of info how to do that on internet...or you can just buy a pin already modified

Thanks TRG.
I contacted LMT and they said the bolt can be had through Questar here on CGN.
Good to hear on your experience with the LMT. Do you know what material they are made of?
