ar180b-2 bull barrel

Awesome work. Curious why you went with a longer barrel? Now make me one in 6.5 Grendel.:D

well it was made from a 28 inch blank and seemed like a waste to cut it shorter, also could be my fascination with long range shooting and the fact that a heavy 1 in 8 twist is made to shoot heavy bullets, doesnt make sense then to have an 18.5 barrel if the gun is setup for 80 grainers.
call it an ar180b-2 "T"

maybe next is a cqb model with a 10 or 12 inch pipe or 6.5 grendel version perhaps !!!!!!!!!

range report

went to the range yesterday to check function and grouping, damn was it cold out there. Fired 5 rounds off a front bag with iron sights. Flawless function no problems at all. I will post target picture as soon as i find the camera, quite impressive for open sights on a damn cold day with cheap ammo

centre to centre 0.555"
first 3 shots were the three touching shots 4 and 5 opened the group up but im sure that was me more than the gun.
barrel isnt even broken in yet and this was done from a cold bore on a damn cold day. Im quite happy with this

I got a slightly different c-c measurement (assuming that the squares on your target are 1" - but still great shooting! EDIT: corrected to reflect the actual square size.
