I bought a 180B on the EE a few years back but only just got around to mounting a scope on it. It has the Midwest Industries rail on it that I've mounted an el-cheapo Cabelas scope on. The problem is that the recoil kicks off the spring loaded rail (w/ scope attached) about 1 in every 3 shots. Has anyone else had this problem and come up with a solution? Any creative ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Should it click in and no longer be completely reliant on that spring to hold it?

If it is working correctly it will tighten up with the recoil.
If you push the plunger in against a table and let go does the plunger pop out or stay in?

I ended up removing the sheet metal wedge on mine and having a piece of picatinny rail tig welded to the top of the reciever.

+1

What happened with mine was, one of the original spot welds had detached and the rail was actually only connected at one point. So I had Dlask permanently attach a rail; a much nicer solution IMHO.

I might have to look into this as well then. Haven't been back to the range yet to see if I can get it to stick as is.
