AR180B Removal of iron sights

Whatever you do, don't ever cut off your iron sites! You might end up with something like this:

Looking good! Are those aluminum lowers in production? Aswell, I wanted to ask those of those who have bolted on a rail for an actual solid base, what kind of accuracy did they get out of the gun? I had the midwest industries rail before and in my opinion it is cr@p it seems to move between shots. If I can get about an inch or less I'd like to make mine into a varmint rig (I know its not a tack driver, but an inch or better is good enough for me!). Otherwise I'll just throw on a red dot and keep it for targets.

Thanks!

EDIT TO ADD: Accuracy @ 100yds!

The issue with accuracy is most likely the mounting wedge being loose. The two spot welds are prone to breaking.

The origonal AR18/180 has a far better TIG welded mount wedge

Thanks, Armedsask. I dont see what the big deal is, Im sure people modify thier weapons all the time, and there's no difference between me and a gunsmith doing it other than not having to pay an arm and a leg to get it done.....

You're not modding it. you're ruining it!
