Looking good Armedsask. It must be nice to have access, knowledge and proficiency in firearm machining. Some day I'd like to learn how to design and make them.

I've also thought of this myself. We have canadian companies (Dlask) making AR components, why doesn't one of them just design their firearm? Seriously, you could make your design to incorporate rem 700 barrels, or some other aftermarket rifle barrel except for an AR barrel (gun would end up being restricted if a custom design used an AR barrel). Really, whats next a rotating locking bolt assembly and a trigger system. None of this is really rocket science. Too bad nobody in canada wants to design their own black rifle.

I will, if I win the lottery. Uhh, dare to dream again.

What type of liabilities and laws would be involved if you were to make a firearm for your own purposes? Could it be done for say under $5000?

I'm sure it would be quite interesting trying to get it registered.
 
####, anyone can make a gun for their own use as long as they can legally own it, that's what I'm doing.

I was talking about manufacturing for sale.
