Sooooo I have to spend around a weeks wage to feel safe from crackheads. Perfect not
You should never feel safe around crackheads... They leave traps in the places they hide! I don't miss working security in downtown Calgary!

What kind of traps?
Uncapped used needles taped under stairwell railings or on the outer side of the railing so that if you are going down the stairs you might get a needle in the hand. Saw that a couple times. If you ever need to use an emergency stairwell in downtown Calgary keep your hands on the top of the railing where you can see them. Also lots of things placed above doors on the automatic closing mechanism so that they would drop on someone going through the door. If you were entering a stairwell and the door opened away from you, you never went straight through until anything above the door had a chance to drop. I've seen light bulbs, a fire extinguisher and cups full of old coffee, water, urine or excrement. The crackheads really burrow in deep and start building nests in the remote hallways and stairwells if given a day or two and they would get really upset when we kicked them out.
