Ar500 hard armour 10x12 plates UPDATE POST 158

Mine are great for clearance, but I'm 6'2" with a size 48 jacket torso. So these plates are like little name tags on me lol
On a side note. The Spaul coating is way better than I expected!

Same - I'm an inch shorter than you but was originally a little worried about the lack of a shooters cut impacting shoulder movement. Not so much eh?

Very happy with the plates and the carrier.

How's the front plate feel , as in having a non shooters cut ? I've never tried a square plate in the front and was wondering how much more cumbersome it felt ?

Its only 10 inches wide. I'm tall and skinny and don't really notice it. Some people like to hang the plate higher or lower than others. I haven't really decided on the optimum adjustment yet. I'm waiting until it gets colder and need heavier clothes. I notice the weight more than anything, its 10 pounds heavier than my Lev II

You usually wear the carrier so that the top of the plate sits just below your sternal notch .

I received my plates and carrier today , both very nice !! I'm 5'10" and don't notice the square shape at all. Even tried shouldering different rifles on strong and tried weak side transitions with no interference from the square cut. No different than my rigid shooter cut plates... I am built abnormally wide tho but both plates and carrier are very comfortable.

Take pics :) how do you find the weight, I'm 5'10 too.

thanks for the good posts guys
good info for those looking that are not in the know.
The shooters cut is ideal, but not "needed" per say.

we will be working on shooters cut as well, but we have a lot going on at the moment inc, me moving.

I just tried my plates in my condor plate carrier. The rear plate fits easily and the front fits fine, but is a little snug.
The front pocket is meant to hold a clipped corner plate. Hope that helps.

BBB, when are all the plates going to shipped?? Im getting jealous of others.

MD
Very soon.
The pre orders were a lot bigger then we had figgered it would be. Along with some dealer sales.
So we had to split it up into 2 shipments.
The next one is due shortly. But of course is late...
That said. I do have some good news
We may be able to now get some plates with the shooters cut
I know many wanted that option
We may be able to change orders that are not shipped for shooters cut.
More info on this shortly

Cool, good on you if you can offer this to those that went onto the pre-order.

Hi guys Update sept 28th

the remaining square cut orders will be here this time next week, they are on the boat to us .
we are working on the shooters cut plate, that are being made in Canada, but with us moving on the 17th they may not be ready before the end of the month, we are doing testing right now, they will be a little thicker then the square cut , but will be a much higher quality product.
one this is all finished and we are into our new office, we will be able to look at custom orders and sizes.

For those outstanding CGN orders for square cut that may want to switch to shooters cut, we will be contacting the remaining people to see if they want to do it, but understanding it may be the end of next month before we can ship them.

are you contacting us via email? I'm curious to know the price diff.

Also, for those who have ordered the carrier, will we be switched to the new one you guys designed or the old one?
