Looking to set up a bit of a range to practice. Anyone use Prairie Precision Steel targets https://www.prairieprecisionsteel.ca/ ?

I’m from Sask so I don’t mind supporting local. I’d rather support small business instead of big box stores too.

Looks like a fun way to burn some powder. Tried a one inch thick piece of steel I had. My 243 left some marks. BIL said his 300 Win Mag would go right thru at 200 yards. Maybe I should ask him to put his money where his mouth is.

I've bought most of mine from steeltargets.ca, a small time shop. He'll make what ever you like.

My 22-250 and 270 will leave light marks on my 3/8 x 8"plate at 200 yards. One 223 round put a decent cup into my 1/4"x4" plate at 200 yards. I have some of the animals he makes in 1/4" AR500, the 17hmr and 22 mg do nothing to them, even at 25 yards.

I'm from sask as well and have bought from them and they are excellent to deal with. However, if you wanted a full 4'x8', 5'x10', etc sheet of 3/8 pr 1/2" AR 500, you might be cheaper overall going through a dedicated laser cutting company. The targets them self are extremely basic to draw and cut and depending on the company, they could be cheaper overall. But if you aren't looking at spending multiple thousands on a full sheet, PPS is a good choice!

I just go to my local metal fab shop and tell them the size I need and they cut them.

I think range rabbit is in your neck of the woods BB.
I placed a large order with him a few years back and he shipped it CP up the hill to the Cariboo for pretty cheap, I was right pleased with both the product and the pricing.

The girls at the post office weren’t particularly pleased with moving around the 2/3 scale torso! ;)

Recently bought a coyote from PPS.....excellent product. Currently working on a life-size deer from them. Excellent company to deal with I find.

Was still cheaper to go through my local fab shop for the last 1/2” plates I bought, good bunch of guys.

I have my own plasma cutter and could cut some myself too. Buddy was going to see if he could get some cut. I ordered some from PPS.
