Araska type 38 stocks - who sells them?

Does anyone know who sells stocks for the type 38 6.5 Jap. I would pick up either a sporter or a surplus one.

Before the nasties come out of the woodwork here, when I got this 6.5 Arisaka it had been totally sporterized. The GNC'r even got it this way. You can hardly tell it was even a surplus rifle at one time. The Mum is ground off too. The stock is really rough so i need to pick up a sporter or a milsurp that will bring it back and make it functional.

Ebay is a good place to watch for one. Prophet River can import it for a small fee.

Check with some of the dealers up here. Epps has helped me out with a lot of milsurp parts over the years. You never know there may be one kicking around somewhere.

Thanks guys. Checked the stock at Epps and it only FITS .30-06 THAI CONVERSION, WITH METAL PARTS. So close - will keep looking and watching Ebay I guess. Thanks again.

How long is your barrel, friend?

The Thai conversions were mostly from Type 99 rifles, but there were some Type 38s converted as well. The actions were very close in many ways.

Claven2 or Tiriaq will know more for sure; I merely dabble with Ariskas.

I measured it and the barrel is 18.5 inches from the front of the receiver to the muzzle.
