Sorry if this has been posted already. I couldn't find it but my computer skills are not the best. Has anyone used either the 25 round or drum? It will be used in a SR22 that I just got.
If you plan on using it with the ar type mag sleeve then you can't use it on an SR22 with the factory mag release. You need to replace it with an extended one.
Thanks for the reply. I am planing on getting a extended release my big concern is how well these work. Not too concerned about having the mag sleeve but are these any better than any of the others out there like Butler Creek. I have had no problem with mine - a few stoppages here and there but I think it is more ammo related - very few with cci minimags. You CAN use these with the SR22 (i do). All I did was cut out a bit of material at the top rear of the magazine sleeve with an exacto knife and a file. Just take off a bit to start and take off more and more until you get the fit you want. I just used a dremel on the sleeve so I could keep the stock mag release. You can't even notice. I wouldn't recommend the drum, mine is a jamomatic, it looks cool but that is about it.
The 1st Gen mags had some issues with feeding, but they did remedy this with a new feedlip and spring. The ones I had would function quite reliably. There is suppose to be a new 3rd Gen on the way from Promag that is suppose to address all the previous issues with the older version's.
Assuming these are the Promag AA922 mags, do what jester3006 said, when you recieve the mag(s) dissassemble it, remove the inner sleeve, take out the small block at the top-BACK of the magazine and dremel it out a little on an angle, and the actual body of the mag, dremel a "U" shape, keep test fitting it until the mag release fully releases the mag. This process should take no more then 5 minutes of your time. I don't have any issues going through all 25 rounds from these, only one misfeed and I believe it was due to an odd shaped tip on the bullet. I actually had more issues with the BC steel lip mag in my SR22 then any others.
