Archangel SKS pics

I haven't installed the SKS-D mag-well yet because I need to figure out a way to anchor the front of it. Actually, the magazines seem to rock in fairly well without the mag-well after some minor filing.
It'll take a bit of work with a Dremel and some more filing to install the mag-well but nothing major.

Excuse my ignorance but what mag well are you referring to? Does it come with the kit or another source? I ask because I have a "D" and am considering installing this stock on it. Pics would help.

Thanks.

Sorry about that. I should have written mag-well liner. I'm talking about the steel liner that surrounds the mag-well opening in the factory wooden stock, which is held in place by the two screws through the side of the stock and the screw into the wood through the front of the liner.

After using the rifle for a couple of days with the new stock, I'm definitely going to install the liner as it does help to guide the magazines in easier.

Thanks for that. Do the AK mags work in the ProMag stock without using the liner? I realize the mag fit may be a little sloppy but do they function reliably?

I've only put forty rounds through four different mags but no problem with function. No sloppiness either, but without the liner it's a bit harder to guide the mags in.
