That is a rear cover, these are just prototypes so the final will be slightly different. Im pushing them for a railed rear cover.....

Sorry to derail ... but the picture of the SKS ... which model is that?? The front gas block is squared off to the barrel, most have a slight ramping to it. and on the rear cover, the picture makes it look like a 45 degree slope backwards into the stock when most if not all are square.

the SKS model is a yugo M59/66 with part of the barrel and GL removed .

yes, all back end of SKS are vertical so there gotta be a angled dust cover .

To each his own, I guess. This is just a prototype drawing (?), not the real thing. And it looks to me more like some tunnel drilling machinery I'll have to see it when it's out for real.

More info. The bayo will need to be removed, Any stock fixed or detachable magazine will work, we will be bringing in some nice Promag SKS mags, hopefully at the same time. They are collapsable, with adjustable cheek riser, the rear receiver slope is part of the stock, but just the sides. You can remove the stock without removing the pistol grip, finally, no tools needed for field strip. We will have some sort of rail for the underside available. Things are very busy at Promag right now, so timeline has been delayed, but we hope to see them in 3 months or so.
