So this year i want to take my first archery deer ive been practicing like crazy for the past few days and seem to be on well out to 40 yards, who else is practicing like mad?

Yup!

Trying to dial in a new bow, and trying not to destroy myself doing it.

Was down crippled most of last season, so really looking forward to getting out at least some, this year.

unfortunately i haven't been practicing as much as i would like to... archery starts in 3 days. Well to be quite honest i haven't shot the bow once yet this year. I just put the ladder stand up on Tuesday. I guess i know what I'm doing this weekend.

It is one thing to be accurate to 40 yards at the range. It's a totally different ball game when there is a buck standing somewhere between 20 and 50 yards away and judging the distance correctly. Unless of course you have a rangefinder and time to use it. Good luck

ive been working on range judging aswell i have a 3 pin sight one set for 20,30,40 and i got a new fingertab that has been working very well and im going to pick up some new arrows soon aswell.
