Touche' my friends !!! I am assuming you are refering to the 788 collection?

The way I work is to collect all of one thing I like in various models. Decide which are the best and usefull and keep those. Then release the rest. Damn you've figured me out

There are a lot of Marlins to collect, so this may take a long long time. There were two 788's that will never leave out of that whole collection I had, the .223 and .243 Carbine. They were tougher to find than the 30.30 and .44 mag.

Back to topic....Did they make a Marlin in 219 Zipper ????

Arch:)

Very nice there arch, 3 quite rare offerings. You do your homework don't you. ;) I believe they did make a zipper but this is from the foggy grey matter..

And I'm soooo relieved that you found a 375 I feel safer now. :dancingbanana:

I figure it will take a while before you find out however that that 356 is one of the tackiest offerings Marlin ever did. Very uncool. I will help end your embarrassment by purchasing this vile rifle from you once you decide on selling it.

There is only one rifle that maybe, (just maybe) will let me let go of the Marlin .356. The chances of you finding, let alone willing to let go of a
Winchester 88 .284 Carbine would be slim at best.:D :D :D

:D :D :D :D :D I knew you were going to say that. Your easier than baiting starving chickens.

I'd never give her up for a "winclackster anyway. Just did it to get you all fired up !!!:slap:

That's for slandering the fantastic, fabulous Marlin .356 :shotgun:

Arch;)

Now how is it that I would even know where to look to to find a Winclackster to trade with :slap:

Yep! Finding one could be another challenge. I have only seen one in more than forty years of hunting, shooting and collecting.

Marlin's

Arch , that's quit a collection you have there . I got the 39-as , 39-golden m , and for deer hunting I've got a 336 cs in .35 rem., I like that 218 bee , I've seen one at a gun show , I think the ballistics are about the same as the .22 hornet ? Great rifles , Marlin also made a lever action in .22 magnum , I think they were short lived though , they came out after the Winchester 9422 's , of which I have the magnum version. I never seen the 1894 in .22 mag., I bet there pretty rare . Good Luck with your collecting later Joe

Oh I still have some 788's ;) . Tried them all and kept the best of the bunch.
I still have the .223 and .243 Carbine, these were the toughest and rarest in my experience to find in Canada. My Rem 788 in .358 Win being built is now completed, Ron Smith has done the work and she is ready for pick-up next week. I'll post pics of it when I have it. The only 788 I'm kicking myself about letting go is the 30.30 (I'll have to find another).

So on to the Marlins and the Winchester 88's. Gotta have a hobby and I like this one a lot :D

Arch:)

You really should let me get ahold of the .375 you have there ;) Perhaps I could put you in touch with a gentleman in my area who has over 75 Marlins the last time I saw his safes a few years back  (remember the 788 .243 carbine ;) )
