Are all AR10 restricted

Arin't the orignal AR-10's non-restricted as they are not varients or the AR-15 because they were made before the AR-15? Not that you could find one...or probably afford it if you did.....

They are CA and black listed as prohib.

There are thought to be 2 factory semi-only, original production AR10's in Canada, they would be unrestricted (and serious collectors items).

Yes, this is what I was talking about, not the CA ones.

Now all we need is someone to start making new semi-auto AR10 receivers based off of the original design and a source for parts kits.

Chances are it would still be restricted.

Nope they wouldnt. Real AR10's are not variants of AR15's, AR15's are variants of AR10's. Problem is that nobody will make an origional AR10 so its a pipe dream:(

How do you figure? If their are already a couple of original semi-auto only guns in this country that are non-restricted, why do you think a repro would be restricted? None of the parts from the original design are interchangeable with an AR-15.

Here's a curveball: what if you made a 5.56mm variant of a non-restricted original AR10? What would that be?

Its called an AR15. Hardly a curveball. By definition a AR15 is viewed as a 5.56 AR10.

The RCMP classified the Dlask pump action AR15 type rifle as restricted......

That was expected.
Me personally, I suggested to Dlask to make a non pistol grip version,
make it ugly, paint it pink, slap the ### flag on it and only then submit it
for assesment to RCMP.
They didn't listen.
I hope the next version will be classed as non-restricted.

LMAO, don't forget the Liberal bumper sticker and the hunter's only wooden stock.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe that they used all AR15 parts for this rifle aside from the pump mechanism. That would make it a pump action AR15 and therefore restricted due to the parts interchangeability.

None of the parts from the original AR10 design are interchangeable with the AR15. Trigger mech is completely different, etc..
