Happy for you cheesy macaroni t81 is straight??

It's very likely shipping did the damage. loading and unloading were handled very roughly. I have seen how airlines throw our luggage. It's scary.

So they bent a military rifle but didn't damage the cardboard box it came in? How is that possible?

The one that was posted in the red rifle forum with the badly bent receiver came in an undamaged box from my understanding.

Do we have some idea How many bent rifles have actually been received by people or can we only confirm the one ?

My god man you're an embarrassment to your name. lol. There's a poll thread on it and so far about 15% of the rifles, on that poll, are misaligned. The sample of only about 33 rifles is pretty small but the percentage of those affected has been relatively consistent as the sample increases.

I've done airline baggage and yes it is rough due to time constraints, but if you can bend a rifle of this type by throwing it around then it's not worth the metal it's made of. These were built to roll around in the mud with and fire granades for goodness sake. The more likely culprit is misalignment during the manufacturing process.

yeah thanks jaylegger I'm behind on this thread so of the misaligned rifles there must be degrees of misalignment like some are not visible to the eye at what point is it a safety issue or at the very least accelerated wear of some kind I mean maybe they are all misaligned to some extent I freakin out man

Have no idea what tolerances are spec'd for this type of variance but obviously there's max and min in a file somewhere. Can't imagine there being a safety issue, the only issue being cosmetic and functional. By functional I assume if the angle between the chamber and the receiver/bolt vary too much the round possibly won't load without binding somewhere.

From a warranty standpoint, if the rifle loads, fires, and it consistent in shot placement there's a very fine line in what consumers can expect with legal warranty returns. If TI is replacing these rifles despite there being no operational issues free of charge I'd be quite appreciative of that.

There was unfortunately another magazine problem, this time our fault that caused some delays over the weekend. Those affected will receive a letter with the details. There have been significant amounts of orders going out each day. Quadrails slightly delayed, but should start going out Friday. Our apologies for the delays
