Damn under brush here in eastern ont are still covered. The deer hunt is only five days off.Should make the hunt a little harder.I cant ever remember the leaves hanging on so long?

They are coming of fast here in C Ont. Where I left a BIG pile of northern Ont gumbo on the lawn pressure washing the bikes mon, is on tues covered with maple leaves :) . Dammmmm......beach leaves will be on till next spring...as usuall!

Leaves are hanging on for deer  life around here (WMU63B), which is a good if you have a tree stand, and hunt field edges, not bush.

Caught a glimpse of four bucks in my headlights late one evening on the weekend on our hunting grounds.

Five more sleeps.....

The last 3 years here in Northern Lanark county have been like that. This year most of the leaves are off, except for the oak. They're still green. I would assume likely we haven't had enough heavy frost yet.

As of the 30th of October most of the foliage is still there...but we have had a frost or two and the leaves are falling like snowflakes! Made it difficult for the first weekend of Deer season in Northern NS....with about 25 meters max visibility in the hardwoods,

Tops of the big trees are bare but the small stuff below is still there, gonna make it hard spotting them.

In other news, I've got 2 fresh scrapes right under my stand!

After tonite being -8, that should clear off all the "hangers on". She is lookin' pretty bare out here .......now for that skiff of snow.
