Are all Tikka T3 ,s LA?

I personally like long or medium action cartridges (30-06, 7x57, 6.5x55), so the Tikka T3 action is perfect. In the end, the action is as slick as snot, and really hard to beat.

You can't, you need to stick with your original case head size and bolt face, no going up or down. Also, the shoulder dimensions of the originating case may require setting the barrel back or only going to an Ackley of some sort. Need a gunsmith to judge that.
 
A friend of my fathers (long gone unfortunately) was an incredible gun smith. He once cut a Mauser action in half, bolt and all. Reattached it into a short action, finished and hot blued it to the point where you simply couldn't tell it started as a long action. Amazing work.

If he was still around would be interesting to see what he could do with a T3.
