Are barrels High speed steel?

I was just windering in a barrel of a gun was a high sooeed steel or if it has a low carbin content I am not sure and was curious of what barrels were?

Some rimfire barrels are 12L15, lower pressure ml or smokeless barrels 1137, hi-power often 4140, stainless 416R. Varies, but these are pretty common. None of these are high speed steel, which is a sophisticated alloy used for cutting tools like lathe or drill bits.
