Are C.I.L.'s Brazilian?

I recently saw a single shot stamped "C.I.L." that is identical to a shotgun I own that was made in Brazil by (I may spell this wrong) "Compagnia Braziliera de Cartouchos". Did C.I.L. import these?

CIL sold these, so did Remington, probably others.

i think some of them are marked "CIL 402" or something like that. i've used one to knock over a deer, crows, gophers, and probably some other stuff.

yes the 402 cil was actually manufactured by boito of brazil and italy i believe. the cil model 607 pump is actually a savage model 67 pump.

CIL was an importer of guns from all over - US, Germany, Brazil, etc.

If I recall correctly, C.I.L. were also the Cdn. importer of (Italian) Franchi's for a while.

yes they did import franchi's but i think it was still under the franchi name.
