I was at Le Baron the other day and bought almost everything I needed for reloading. All of it is RCBS but they didn't have 9mm dies and they are not going to get them for another few weeks. I am eager to start reloading and thinking of buying from another manufacturer like Lee and using it in RCBS press? My question is this: will it work, Lee die will fit without problems in my RCBS rock chucker right?
To most of you this may be stupid question, but I don't know so I have to check.

Yes and no. Most are 7x14 threads and will work in your press, this includes Lee.
There are some oddball ones that won't fit like the Dillon square Deal dies.
 
"...will it work..." Yep. Don't buy anything but carbide for handgun cartridges though. It's just the sizer die and the box will be labeled as such. The die will be stamped 'Carb' too.
 
RCBS, Hornady, LEE, Lyman....all can be used in each other's reloading presses, no problem. Carbide is a real time saver when reloading pistol.
 
Most of my dies are RCBS, but I do have Hornady, Lee, one
Eagle and the ones I've had longest of all are C-H.
None of them wear out, if used properly.
 
In that case I'll buy Lee or maybe even Hornady since I have impression that latter is higher quality manufacturer. By the way anyone cares to comment why are RCBS dies more expensive than Lee or Hornady dies. I bought RCBS dies at Le Baron for $58 and "The Gun Centre" in Kitchener sells them for $75.
Shell holders at the Kitchener store are $13.25, Le Baron $6.94. Just the saving on shell holders covered price of gas to Mossissuaga and back.
Le and Hornady dies are $30 and $45.
 
Thread is actually 7/8" 14 tpi....and oh...stick with quality dies and def. look at carbide for your 9mm....RCBS, Hornady, Redding, Forster....IMHO
