Are E2 grips standard now?

I haven't held one either to be honest, mine are all old West Germans. I have Hogue G10's on a couple of them and a short trigger and I shoot them well. I hate the look of the E2 grips but can't say how they feel.

They were on mine when I got it last week. I agree with RPIcka that they're not the prettiest, but they do feel nice and seem to grip well, though I haven't been to the range yet with it. I have smallish hands, so there's that, too...

I really like how the E2 grips sit in my hand, when I try it back-to-back with the older style grips, the E2 seems to sit a touch deeper so I feel like I have better control of the firearm.

I picked up a set cheap and tried them on a 226. I liked the way they felt but I kept the standard trigger in mine as I think the E-2 grips and the short trigger would be too much.
I just hope that they keep making the frames with the screw holes; as they do now, so that we can still use the "old" style grips. My Sig's all have either Hogue G-10 or alum. grips on them now and they work just fine for me.

Bought my GF a sig p226R E2 for her birthday last November. She really enjoys shooting the pistol. The combination of the smaller grips and shortened trigger really make it user friendly for those with baby paws. My hands are medium-large and I have no issues with it either. Best part is they are interchangeable with the standard grips.

How do these install onto the older style p226s?

I have smaller hands and have been running an old NP22 Norc overhauled with sig springs, grips, SRT kit and short trigger. I'd love to give these new grips a go.

My fellow employee just informed me that this bear is Pedobear the pedophile. I almost spit my coffee everywhere when he told me that. Just to clear up any misconception I am 25 and she is 23. Good joke nonetheless!

Ahahaha! I had to try to explain Pedobear to my sister last week -

"But... But... He looks so happy and cuddly and non threatening!"
"THAT'S the idea!"

Not sure how they would work with a Norc. It's possible to modify older Sig's by changing the mainspring seat to the "newer" plastic seat. (as opposed to the "old" metal seat with the roll pin.) The plastic seat is needed to accomodate the new mainspring strut design.
The new grips have nubs that snap into the screw holes as well so if the Norc screw holes are not in exactly the same place as an actual Sig they might not fit properly.
The price of the kits has come down quite a bit and I'm sure someone on here must have tried it and will step in with their results. They do make a big change to the grip circumfrence so it may well be worth it to try.

I liked the feel of the E2 grips a lot--the stippled texture especially--but I found that (as mentioned by others upthread) that my grip position was lower on the frame than I would have liked. The shortened grip combined with the short trigger I had also felt too short from the SA position. I've got regular grips and trigger on my new SIG (similar to the Mk25 here) and I find trigger reach--even in DA mode--no problem with my smaller hands.
